Utah Transit Authority, in partnership with Ogden City, will construct separated bicycle lanes on Grant Avenue between 22nd Street and 24th Street. Park strip planters surrounded by curbing will also be constructed and will provide dedicated space for vehicles to park on-street. The project will enhance safety for cyclists, pedestrians and motorists. The following details explain current schedules, road closures and expected impacts to be aware of while the project is being completed.
Construction for the Grant Avenue Promenade began on July 25 and will continue through late November. Work will generally take place Mondays through Saturdays, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. This work schedule is subject to change.
Grant Avenue between 22nd and 23rd Street will be closed starting July 25th. In the following weeks, the roadway between 23rd and 24th Street will be closed. Access to the north public parking structure will need to take place on 23rd Street until later this fall. We apologize for this inconvenience, but this will allow the project to be completed in a faster time frame. The intersection of 23rd Street will be closed later in the summer to allow for these improvements to be made.
Expected project impacts include:
• Noise, dust, and vibrations
• Minor traffic delays
• Detoured access to public parking garages
• Closures of Grant Avenue between 22nd and 24th Street
• No access to driveways on Grant Avenue between 22nd and 24th Street
• Limited pedestrian access on Grant Avenue between 22nd Street and 24th Street
