·  What does the Emergency Management Office do?

The Emergency Management Office is at the forefront of community emergency preparedness, providing an avenue to obtain free information for individuals interested in becoming aware of disasters that could occur locally and how to prepare for them.

·  What does the Fire Operations Division do?

The Fire Operations Division provides response to a full range of incidents including emergency medical, fire, hazardous materials, high angle rescue and confined space rescue incidents. First Responder Medical incident response is provided by the nearest response unit. Fire incident response is provided by the nearest engine company being backed by a second engine company, a battalion chief, ladder, rescue and ambulance. For some types if fire incidents and occupancies a third engine company responds on the first assignment.


Ogden City Fire Dept.'s ambulance service provides medical transportation to all emergency and non-emergency 911 needs within the city's limits as well as select areas outside of the city. A basic and advanced level of transfer service is also available to local hospitals, clinics and care centers.
