Pet Licensing

Protect Your Pet, License it!

Residents are allowed 2 dogs or 6 cats in Ogden City. Both cats and dogs must be licensed. Dogs and cats must be licensed once a year. License renewals are due according to the month the pet was originally licensed. For example, if your pet is licensed in August, the renewal will also be in August the following year. Lifetime licenses are available for purchase for altered (sterile) animals only.

A current rabies vaccination is the requirement for licensing an animal. If you purchase a Lifetime license, you must present proof of current rabies vaccination for your pet to receive a current license for each year. There is no charge at the time of Lifetime renewals.
