Ogden provides access to excellent fishing opportunities with an "urban angle!" Whether you have a few minutes or a few hours, Ogden's urban corridor has a fishing spot for you. The Ogden and Weber Rivers provide excellent fishing opportunities. Children under 14 fish for free!
Ogden River Parkway

Weber River
- Location: Various access along river, from the Highway 89 Bridge (at I-84), downstream through Ogden (and its suburbs) to the confluence with Ogden River.

- Boating & floating: OK — float tubes
- Likely catch: Rainbow trout, brown trout, mountain whitefish, albino rainbow trout
- Possible catch: Bonneville cutthroat, Utah sucker, carp, channel catfish, smallmouth bass

Fort Buenaventura
- Location: Go west on 2400 S., turn left on A Avenue (just west of Weber River)
- Size: Two-acre pond
- Hours: 8:00 a.m. until dark
- Daily bag & possession limit: Two trout, otherwise, general regulations (catch & release encouraged)
- Boating & floating: OK — canoes, float tubes
- Likely catch: Rainbow trout
- Possible catch: Bluegill, bass, carp
