Landscaping Tree Information

The following list of trees thrive in Ogden’s environment.  This list will help you with characteristics of all the different trees when you are landscaping your home.  For park strip trees, please see the list of approved trees for your park strip.

The Urban Forester has chosen certain trees with specific characteristics.  These trees are chosen due to their root growth, height, branches, and durability.  When planting your new tree make sure you blue stake your property.  This will help avoid cutting or damaging any underground utility lines.  You can reach blue stakes at 1-800-662-4111.  Also make sure you have obtained the proper permits if you will be planting your tree in the park strip or on public property.  Please call 629-8284 for more information.
