Amy Wicks, At-Large Seat C
Amy Wicks has lived in Ogden since 1997. She was elected to the Ogden City Council in November of 2003 as one of three members representing the City At Large. In 2006 and 2007, she was elected vice chair of the Council. In 2008, she was elected to serve as Council chair.She ran for local government because, as a Council Member, Amy believes she can make a difference in everyday life for the citizens of Ogden.
Amy has been employed with the National Center on Shaken Baby Syndrome as the Information and Research Specialist since 1998. In this position, she provides information and expert referrals to parents and professionals throught the world. Amy also tracks data on Shaken Baby Syndrome in the world's largest database of its kind, which she created in 1999.
In her free time, Amy enjoys the vast array of recreational activities found in the Ogden area including snowboarding, skiing, mountain biking, hiking, climbing, and whitewater kayaking.
She also enjoys the diverse art and live music events Ogden has to offer, and on Saturdays in the summer, she can often be found at the Farmers' Market.
