Multicultural Advisory Committee
The Multicultural Advisory Committee is organized and operated by citizens as an advisory committee to the Mayor and the City Council. The Committee is formed to add a vital dimension to the City's system of citizen advisory committees to bring together representatives of Ogden's ethnic communities and City government to work toward the the same goals.
The Committee's purpose is to:
- Be an advisory conduit to the Ogden City Mayor and the City Council
- Increase trust and understanding between the City’s ethnic peoples and the City
- Disseminate information on programs, projects, events, and services that are of mutual interest to the City’s ethnic communities and the City.
- Involve people in the civic affairs of the greater Ogden community.
The Committee's Mission Statement is:
- Bring together representatives of Ogden’s City Government.
- Work toward increasing trust and understanding by involving all MAC members in civic affairs for the best interest of the greater Ogden Community.
- Develop and implement goals to improve relationships among residents within Ogden’s diverse community.
- Advocate for the diverse population of Ogden.
