Innovative New Playground Coming to Ogden

Through the generosity of Hershey’s Track and Field, Nike and Summit Playgrounds Ogden City will be home to the first ever Playtop Street Playground in the United States. This unique playground features interactive ‘satellites’ or underground lights which are activated by touch and encourage users, both young and old, to participate in individual, group or team games. Through the collaborative efforts of Ogden City Recreation and Ogden Youth Track Club, this grant was applied for in an effort to provide those residents looking for ways to live a healthy lifestyle another avenue to pursue their goals.

The Ogden City Planning Commission is conducting a public hearing Wednesday, September 7, 2011 – 5:00 p.m. concerning the 21st Street Corridor proposed plan. The public is invited to attend the meeting.

Automatic Meter Reading Change-Out Program in Full Swing

For the past few years, the Ogden City Public Utilities division has been replacing old manually read meters with new radio-read meters in an effort to increase efficiency and provide better customer service to the residents of Ogden. The new meters allow for more accurate meter reading, earlier detection of leaks and increases the number of meters that can be read in a single day.
