Senior Summer Dinner and Dance a Swinging Success

The folks at Golden Hours had a swinging time at the annual Summer Dinner and Dance.

The Golden Hours Senior Center hosted a dinner and dance for any senior citizens in the county at the lovely new Mt. Ogden Golf Course Pavilion. Over 85 seniors participated in the event that featured, besides the lovely venue, a fantastic barbeque dinner, an eight-piece make up band featuring Hal Holiday on drums and vocals, as well as, door prizes from many of our local merchants and food. The band played a variety of songs from the 50’s and 60’s both country and rock.

Many of the participants took advantage of the opportunity to have their picture taken and printed on site as a souvenir of the evening. Two photo opportunities were made available to the seniors: the beautiful Mt. Ogden Golf Course as a background or a Harley Davidson Touring Bike with a variety of motorcycle apparel that they could use to dress up as “Posers” for their souvenir photo. These photos were free to the participants due to the generosity of two local photographers.

The Golden Hours Center is a activity center for individuals over the age of 50. We offer many amenities such as a gym, pool table, computer lab and frequent seminars and entertainment. If you are over 50, or have friends and family that may benefit from the social atmosphere of our facility please visit the Golden Hours Senior Center at 650 25th Street or contact us at 801-629-8864.
