Each year the Ogden Standard Examiner sponsors a “Tops in the Top of Utah” contest in which locals can go online and vote for their favorite business and organizations in the area. This year, the honor of #1 Golf Course was bestowed upon the Mt. Ogden Golf Course and Ogden City would like to thank all those who helped us achieve this wonderful recognition.

The nomination process begins in June and the voting is open through August each year. Thousands of votes were cast in various categories and the 135 finalists for this year were announced at a block party at The Junction. It is the second time in just a handful of years that Mt. Ogden has received the most votes and we are proud of this accomplishment. Mt Ogden has also been given a four-star rating from Golf Digest Magazine on several occasions and has been listed in their annual Best Places to Play in the country publication.

Jeff McFarland, Course Superintendent and his staff have done an outstanding job in maintaining daily, a premier golfing condition at the Mt. Ogden Golf Course. It is truly an honor to have received this award and the staff at Mt. Ogden Golf Course and Ogden City Public Services would like to thank those in our beautiful community who cast their vote in favor of our stunning golf course.
