Course Description
El Monte Golf Course is a classic parkland layout situated in the mouth of beautiful Ogden Canyon. The signature feature of the golf course is a pair of large Fremont Cottonwood trees that are in the middle of the first fairway.
It is a very user friendly layout that can also be very challenging for the skilled player.
The stone clubhouse which sits on a hill overlooking the course was built with rock quarried down by the Ogden river. It was built as a part of the Roosevelt New Deal programs during the Great Depression. The building is on the National Historic Register and is one of only thirteen clubhouses in the country to have this designation. |
