The Office of the Ogden City Attorney is an internal law office providing legal services to the Mayor, City Council and the various operating departments on all legal matters affecting the City. The Office of Ogden City Attorney serves in an advisory capacity by providing legal guidance concerning federal, state and local laws as they pertain to the conduct of City business. The office also provides legal guidance for the development of new programs and procedures for new ordinances and amendments. The prosecutor's office serves as the criminal division of the City Attorney's office and prosecutes all infractions and class B and C misdemeanors under City ordinances or state law.
