On Monday, August 28, 2006, Ogden City Risk Management launched our Automatic Defibrillator (AED) Program. The user friendly, Phillips Heartstart OnSite Defibrillators will be housed in an alarmed safety box box which can easily be accessed. These boxes are similar to fire alarm/fire hose boxes in use currently. The defibrillators are being placed strategically throughout the Ogden City Municipal Building, Public Works Building, Public Safety Building, BIC Main Office, and Fleet Division. There are also AED's being placed in the Union Station Gift Shop, The Recreation Office, The Dinosaur Park, Mt. Ogden Golf Course, and the Marshall White Center Main Office Our hope is that we would not have to utulize them. Our intention however, is to provide the tools necessary to save lives well within the golden hour of a medical emergency.
