Matthew R. Godfrey
Mayor of Ogden, Utah

Mayor Matthew R. Godfrey was born and raised in the Ogden area attending Weber County Schools. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts, Finance Degree with a minor in Spanish and a Masters of Professional Accounting from Weber State University. While at WSU as a student he earned the distinction of NCAA All-American in Track and Field.

He has taught Quantitative Analysis, Business Calculus and Finance as an Adjunct Faculty member at WSU.

Mayor Godfrey is married to Monica Allen Godfrey and is the father of five children, Natasha, Harrison, Danielle, Tyler and Grant.

Mayor Godfrey is the youngest Mayor to be elected in the history of Ogden City.
