The Marshall White Community Center offers a variety of activities for entire family. Activities include youth and adult classes, sports leagues offered through Ogden City Recreation, cultural special events and a swimming program. Sign your child or teen up today for The Boys and Girls Club of Weber/Davis. The Club offers an after-school and summer program for elementary age youth 5 - 12 years of age and a "Club" program for teens 13 - 17 years of age. The "Club" is available at the Ogden School District four Middle Schools and at the Marshall White Center on Friday and Saturday Night from 7:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.

The Center is open in the evening and on Saturday afternoon for families to enjoy the game room, gym, swimming pool and weight room. All family members and individua must register to receive a free membership card to attend programs or open community events.


Cultural Special Events

The Marshall White Center hosts a variety of Cultural Special Events throughout the year. Events include:
• Halloween Spook Alley & Maze
• the Annual “Gift of Love” Community Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinners
• Santa Elves
• Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Annual Prayer Breakfast
• Black History Program
• Annual Easter Egg Hunt
• Cinco De Mayo Cultural Fair

The Head Start Program

Head Start is a federal program for preschool children from low-income families. Children who attend OWCAP Head Start participate in a a variety of educational activities. They also receive free medical and dental screenings, have healthy meals and snacks, and enjoy playing indoors and outdoors in a safe setting.

To qualify for Head Start, you must meet the Federal Income Guidelines, be receiving public assistance, or be one of the allowed 10% of children who exceed income guidelines.

Recreational Activities

Youth and Adult Boxing Program

Recreational and competitive boxing classes are offer by licensed USA/ABF instructors. To be trained by our licensed coaches you must be a USA/ABF member. USA/ABF yearly membership is $50.
Boxing Program hours are:
Monday - Thursday: 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Daily admission fee is $1.50

Table Tennis Club
 

The Marshall White Community Center club has five tables and practices in the gym on Saturdays.
Table Tennis Club Program hours are:
Tuesday 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Saturdays: 2:00 – 4:30 p.m.
Daily admission fee is $1.50

 

 


Open Recreation

 
Open recreation is open everyday for the whole family and includes the game room and gymnasium. Pool tables and table tennis are available for play on first come first serves basis.
Open Recreation hours are:
Monday - Thursday: 3:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. 
Saturday: 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Daily admission fee is free with a membership card
