Volunteerism

Golden Hours Senior Center offers a variety of volunteer opportunities for seniors age 50 and over. Many of our classes are taught by generous and talented seniors. We have kitchen volunteers who help with the delivery of food, collecting of money, and cleaning the kitchen and dining room areas. The center also has volunteers help serve on the Senior Council Committee, planning activities, and parties for our participants and also work at the front desk answering phones, and giving general information about the Center.

Volunteerism is a vital contributing factor of our continued success here at our center and we value all those who contribute their time and talents. Becoming a volunteer can be a rewarding experience.  Volunteer Appreciation Day is held in the month of April where all of our volunteers are recognized; festivities include a special guest speaker, dignitaries serve lunch as a special thank you,  and a framed certificate of appreciation is presented to one of our volunteers that has been one of our shining stars.

If you're looking to be appreciated in more ways than you could every imagine; come and volunteer at Golden Hours Senior Center.  Please contact Donna at 629-8868.
