The responsibilties of the Recorder's Office include:

• Records Manager for the City
• Coordinate and conduct City elections
• Maintain historical records of the City and provide records research (Records Request Form)
• Maintain ordinances and resolutions adopted by the City Council
• Maintain the Municipal Code
• Maintain City cemetery burial and ownership records
• Records Manager for the City, including operation of an inactive records storage center
• Use of optical imaging system for storage of records
• Maintain agendas and minutes of the following meetings:
  • City Council
  • Redevelopment Agency
  • Mayor's Administrative Review (MARM)
  • Civil Service Commission
  • City committees and boards
