The Wall Street Journal has named Ogden the center of outdoor sports gear in the U.S., while Outside Magazine recognized it as one of the Best Towns in America and National Geographic ranked it as a Top 10 Emerging Ski Town.

Education & Training

Over 2,500 students complete engineering and manufacturing programs at area colleges each year. These colleges include:

  • Weber State University
  • Utah State University
  • University of Utah
  • Bridgerland, Davis, and Ogden-Weber technical colleges
  • Salt Lake Community College

The Professional Sales program at Weber State University provides nationally recognized training in professional and technical sales. A leading program in Outdoor Product Design and Development is offered at nearby Utah State University.
