Monica Gil is the Equity and Access Family Engagement Administrator/Supervisor of Ogden School District. Monica began her career as a social worker in Ogden working with patients and families within skilled nursing facilities, homecare, and hospice. After 7 years as a social worker, Monica began her career within Ogden School District as a school counselor after earning her Master's Degree of School Counseling. She has worked with students' and families from elementary to adult education. For the past six years she has worked at Ben Lomond High School as the counseling department head and transitioned to the Equity and Access Family Engagement Administrator/Supervisor at the beginning of 2022. As a first generation college student and second generation immigrant Monica is passionate about diversity, inclusion, equality, and education. She looks forward to working with the Ogden Diversity Commission and utilizing her knowledge and skills set to continue driving her passion for equality in Ogden City.
