Newspaper Notification Requirements Amendment
Ogden is considering amending the zoning ordinance and subdivision ordinance to align with state notification laws and remove newspaper notice requirements.
In 2021, the Utah legislature adopted SB 201, which amended public notice requirements. That bill requires most notices of land use matters to be posted on the state public notice website www.Utah.gov/pmn. It removed requirements that land use notices be published in a local newspaper.
Citizens can find public notices on Ogden's website, www.ogdencity.com/planning, and on the state website www.Utah.gov/pmn.
The Ogden Planning Commission will consider this change at their January 4, 2023 meeting. The hearing will be held in the City Council Chambers, 3rd Floor, Ogden Municipal Building, 2549 Washington Boulevard, Ogden.
