The purpose of this project is to create a Unified Development Ordinance (UDO). This will include a complete rewrite of Ogden City’s Zoning Ordinance and an update to its Subdivision Regulations, Sign Ordinance, and Landmarks Ordinance combining them into a well-organized, graphicly rich, user-friendly Unified Development Ordinance that includes tables, images, and diagrams. This project will be a full replacement of Titles 14, 15, 17, and 18, which will include land uses, approval processes, and the coordination of other requirements that may be applicable.
The consultant team, Logan Simpson, held a project kickoff meeting in June to begin the development code update. The consultant team is currently reviewing Ogden City's existing development codes to identify issues. It will provide the Planning Commission and City Council with a Code Assessment Report at the end of the assessment.
