Your senior center is always looking for volunteers. We are seeking people who feel they have the time and energy to contribute to make life easier for our senior community. Some of the opportunities for volunteering includes working at the front desk. This job entails answering the phone, helping and directing our seniors to the many activities that we have, as well as some minor office work, such as filing and making copies.
Golden Hours has its very own thrift boutique, known as the ‘Op Shop'. Donated clothes, decorations and household items, are sold to raise money for our Senior Activity Fund. The many special events that are sponsored by the center involve the use of monies generated by the sale of these items. This funding source is critical to the special events we have each year, so volunteers really are the ones who make the difference! This job requires someone with a flair for sales and display.
If you believe you can set aside some time in your life to volunteer, please contact Maurine Taylor, the Golden Hours Volunteer Coordinator, at 801-629-8867.
