First Friday Art Stroll Pop-Ups May - September 2022
Bryson Dearden Bio:
Born and Raised in Ogden, UT, I have been DJ’ing for many years as it was introduced to my life at a young age, I love the DJ culture and collecting vinyl records, discovering and collecting music is a huge part of my life as I listen to all kinds of music every day, I’m grateful at the age of 26, I have manage to supply myself with a massive amount of music both Vinyl and MP3’s, I study the art of DJ’ing all the way back to its roots and look up to the legends who created this art form out of Bronx New York in the Late 70’s, DJ Kool Herc (a founding member of the Hip-Hop culture) would bring people together in parks and recreation complex’s to DJ Parties for them, creating a fun positive environment during a very dark time in the inner city life of New York, Even tho Ogden isn’t New York, it’s still a perfect place to express this culture, creating a fun positive environment for any who is around, The DJ is in control of the atmosphere around them, touching people’s hearts by playing some of their most favorite tracks, If I can impact 1 person by playing that 1 song that they have had a personal connection to their whole lives and they are completely thrilled to hear me play it for them, then I have done my job, I hope people see me spin and it changes their perspective on this culture and inspire them to try and spin themselves, I plan on Spinning, Funk, Soul, and House music on First Friday as I feel this creates a great atmosphere for the ones listening, Much Love Ogden and thank you!

Izzy Feliz Bio:
My name is Izzy Felix, a resident of Ogden and a junior (I will be senior status in August) at St. Joseph High School. I always wanted to learn to DJ and in middle school, Nurture the Creative Mind (NCM) gave me that opportunity. I learned and am still mentored by the amazing Amber Manning or DJ Chassis. Indie Ogden gave me my first paying gig in 2021 at the Sunday Monarch Bazaar. I love playing all types of music but enjoy the vibe when the 80s and 90s rock are played like “Don’t Stop Believing” by Journey. I am also a visual artist which NCM has helped me pursue. Art allows me to express my love of the outdoors and nature through my sketches and paintings. I hope to further my love of art by attending an art school in Fall 2023.
Weston Bennion Bio:
Owner and operator of Life Elevated Music group. Hip hop artist, Wes Burke has two albums Press Play & TRAIL, streaming on all platforms. He is currently working on his 3rd album and shifted focus on live performances. Wes was born in 96’ in Salt Lake City and raised across the Wasatch front.
The Dumke Arts Plaza represents the transformation of a blighted motel property into an innovative civic space that will bring the community together around art in Ogden’s dynamic Nine Rails Creative District. The plaza’s design, inspired by the region's dynamic landscape, has the flexibility to support many types of art, from large-scale installations to small performances, and includes an LED screen for displaying film and video art. An elevated platform known as the plinth provides more space for arts programming, as well as a new perspective on the plaza and its surroundings. The Dumke Arts Plaza is a welcoming public space, with interactive play elements, unique lighting, benches, and waterwise landscaping. A major feature of the Dumke Arts Plaza is the Beacon, a new sculpture that extends over 25th Street, inviting visitors to explore the plaza.
Firework and open flame restrictions are in place effective immediately. Forecasted hot weather, ongoing red flag warnings, and severe drought all contribute to the need for the current restrictions. Please help keep your community safe. Read on...
