The Ogden Downtown Alliance, producers of Farmers Market Ogden, began accepting vendor applications on Thursday, March 1, 2018.
Awarded the 2017 Indie Ogden Award “Best Place for Family Fun” the market is getting bigger and better all the time. In addition to local vendors, musicians and artists, the event provides community organizations and nonprofits an opportunity to engage directly with the public through interactive elements that rotate on a weekly basis.
“Farmers Market Ogden has become one of the most highly anticipated annual events in Ogden,” said Visit Ogden’s Sara Toliver. “Residents and visitors alike look forward to the opening of the market and to returning each Saturday throughout the summer. The plethora of fruits, veggies, gifts, and great food celebrated on Historic 25th Street make for a wonderful way to spend time with friends and family.”
New this year, vendors will not able to register on-site. Previously, weekly additions could be made early Saturday morning, but with the growth of the market, this option is being revised. Vendors wishing to participate weekly (rather than for the full season) are encouraged to apply online and select their dates at the time of applying.
Registration for Farmers Market Ogden is open online until April 15, 2018. The Market operates summer Saturdays, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. from June 23, 2018, to September 15, 2018.
Farmers Market Ogden was transitioned to management by the Alliance for the 2016 season and had a record-breaking year for general attendance, overall vendor counts and produce offerings – all of which continues to grow. The Alliance event team works hard to maintain a “working drawing board for community development” by way of green space, arts programming, scheduled performances, and community interactive spaces.
