ogden botanical gardens

To celebrate the Ogden Botanical Gardens’ 25th Anniversary, the Run Through The Roses 5K will be held at the gardens (1740 Monroe Blvd) August 1 from 4-8 p.m. Supporting this event helps to maintain the beauty of this space that provides public classes, workshops, educational field trips and family-friendly events to the community. Many trained volunteers also help to make this public garden a stunning backdrop for many wedding and family reunions.

The Run Through The Roses 5K is on the pavement, will not be timed and begins at 6 p.m. The price is $35 for a single racer and $70 for a racer family of up to four people in the same household.

In addition to the 5K, the complete celebration will include:

  • Kids’ fun run
  • Live music
  • Garden tours
  • Kids’ activities
  • Scavenger hunt
  • Art walk
  • Silent auction
  • Information about which roses grow best in Weber County
  • Food trucks
  • Free Aggie Ice Cream to the first 250 people that visit the education building

The Kids’ Fun Run will start at 5:30 p.m. and no registration is needed. Small prizes will be awarded while supplies last. Register for the 5K on Eventbrite by July 6 to receive a free T-shirt and rose at the finish line.
